  9. Do not encourage or partake in rule breaking on Oblivion Network services.

  10. Do not impersonate any member of the Oblivion Network staff, or claim to be a staff member.

  11. Report issues or bugs of Oblivion Network services to either the forums or to support@oblivionnetwork.net; exploitation of bugs for any reason other than to demonstrate at the request of a staff member will result in a punishment.

  12. Follow any directions given by a Oblivion Network staff member. If you believe a staff member has directed you wrongly, please email support@oblivionnetwork.net.

  13. Note If you are concerned about links that may constitute advertising, please clarify with a staff member before posting.

  14. B. Website Behaviour

  15. Do not make topics or posts aiming to insult or provoke other people or groups, and do not promote or encourage others to make such posts.

  16. Do not make posts that mock or "predict" inflammatory comments, as they encourage users to make such comments.

  17. Do not reply to topics with irrelevant, meaningless, or spammy text/images.

  18. Do not "bump" topics by posting something that does not contribute constructively to the topic.

  19. All personal issues must be dealt with in private. The public forums are not the place for personal conflicts.

  20. Criticism of the work of others, both staff and the larger community, must be delivered with politeness and personal respect.

  21. Do not make topics just to announce that you are quitting the game or the server. Exceptions may be made if you are quitting for a very interesting reason, like you are dying, or sailing around the world.

  22. Announcements about dramatic events befalling yourself or others must include a verifiable source for the information. If we cannot easily verify the story, the topic may be removed. Deliberate hoaxes of this nature are considered very serious infractions.

  32. Unless you are explaining the report process, you may not encourage others to report a specific player.

  33. Please do not publicly accuse any players of hacking. If you believe a player is hacking or breaking any rules report them using the /report command.

  34. You may not use any form of in game chat to solicit. Any account that is determined to be for the sole use of soliciting will be permanently banned without warning.

  35. You may not link to, or solicit players to join, any server public or private that is not part of the Oblivion Network in public chat. (You may use the /msg command to inform players that request it).

  36. Your username must be appropriate, and you may be asked to use a different account if your username is found to be inappropriate. (This does not count as ban evasion.)

  37. If you have access to the /nick command, any chosen nickname should be designed to confer anonymity, not attention. You may not use /nick to impersonate others, and you may not use an inappropriate nickname.

  38. Note All chat messages and commands are logged. Note You may link to your Oblivion Network related livestream, so long as you don’t spam it.

  39. E. General Gameplay

  40. Players may not abuse glitches. This includes, but is not limited to, placing blocks in areas restricted by the plugin to walk on, creating an "x-ray" effect, and causing yourself to be invincible.

  41. In a Blitz or Ghost Squadron match, players may not prolong a match by avoiding combat and/or hiding in places that are inaccessible or difficult to get to.

  42. Observers may never give tactical information to players or intentionally disrupt gameplay. Tactical information includes, but is not limited to:

  78. The following are considered reckless and strongly discouraged (you may be warned for breaking the following rules):

  79. Placing TNT in one's own base, especially building TNT towers in one's own base

  80. Building unprotected TNT near teammates or objectives

  81. Taking all or almost all of the wool in a Capture the Wool map out of a wool room, unless there is only one wool left in that wool room

  82. Any actions that are not listed here that hinder your team’s progress towards winning the match, deliberate or not, still fall under "team griefing" and may be dealt with as such.

  83. Note Players are NEVER permitted to team grief, even in retaliation to another team griefer.

  84. H. Map Specific Rules

  85. All players are responsible for keeping up to date with all map rules. Map rules are found on map rule boards at that map’s spawn, and via the /map command.
